A few kilometers from Gulmarg is this beautiful white stream of Ningle Nallah. It later merges with the River Jhelum near Sopore. Wide and grassy pastures located the stream form a perfect place for a family picnic with light snacks and yes, lots of pictures. You can even set a camp here! One can sit here for hours and admire the surrounding meadows, chirping birds, gushing sound of water, and rich culture this dream-like location offers. It is said that the ancient Kings, Queens, and Royals loved to visit this place due to the tranquility and peace of mind it imbibes in every visitor. This place was frequented by British officers during the British rule for the same reason. The place is also a popular ski destination. Much to the delight of adventure sports lovers, during winters many challenging slopes are created here. The beginners can opt for lower mountains while the experts can ascend to higher Apharwat peaks offering up to 5 km vertical runs. Children will have a blast at this locality as they play in the expanses of huge stretches of snow and grass. The Ningle Nallah is a little underdeveloped but you what they say, some places are better left untouched!
