A hill top monastery ,situated about 35 kms from Padum with no much population . This was initially a Buddhist monastery and served as home to about 150 lamas. It also exhibited some extremely beautiful paintings and written notes of well known artists. It was known to have a palace there itself but now it has turned to a nunnery , due to modernization. However, the traces of history still much is left to view, admire and appreciate. Tourists are advised to bring thick woolen clothes indicating the chilly climate.
